The 4th Meeting of Interest Group on Algorithmic Foundations of Information Technology (IGAFIT) took place on June 5, 2016 at École Normale Supérieure, Paris, France, just before the first Highlights of Algorithms 2016 conference (HALG 2016).

During the meeting, there have been further discussions on the challenges faces by the European algorithmic community and about funding opportunities in Europe.
