The Algorithmic Meeting workshop took place on February 11-13, 2013 at the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland. The goal of this workshop was to bring together a number of algorithms researchers from Europe and Israel and to provide a venue that will stimulate establishing their future collaborations.

The event turned out to be highly successful (see the workshop’s website for the list of talks and the program). Also, during this meeting the first discussions on the need to establish an organization of the Interest Group on Algorithmic Foundations of Information Technology (IGAFIT) took place.
