The next 3rd Meeting of the Interest Group on Algorithmic Foundations of Information Technology (IGAFIT) took place during the 2nd European Meeting on Algorithmic Challenges of Big Data (ACBD 2015), in Dortmund, Germany.

During the meeting, there have been further discussions on the challenges faces by the European algorithmic community and about funding opportunities in Europe.

The meeting endorsed also the organization of an international conference Highlights of Algorithms 2016 (HALG 2016), Paris, June 6-8, 2016.
